Judges 16:4-17

Maybe Samson wasn’t the brightest guy around, or maybe he just caved to the relentless whining of a beautiful woman. But whatever the case, he gave up the secret of his strength.

Samson was born for a great purpose, but he allowed himself to be manipulated into giving up what was most important. Samson was foolish enough to compromise his character and strength for a woman who was clearly using him.

What leads you to compromise in your life?

Is there anything that causes you to compromise your character?

Would you compromise your character by cheating in order to get a good grade?

Would you compromise your relationship with your parents by lying to them so you could do something they’d otherwise tell you not to do?

Make some notes in the journal about the areas of your life that are easy for you to compromise. Ask God to help you stay strong in your faith so you can overcome the temptations that could pull you away from him.
